The shop is tucked away on Kali Mandir Path in the Lakhara area of Guwahati. We have these printing machines that run for most of the day and the smell of ink is pretty much everywhere. It is a busy place especially when there is a big order for school T-shirts or uniforms. We spend hours making sure the logos are lined up right and that the colors are coming out the way they should. The printing process can be messy so our hands are often stained with different colors. We also do a lot of sewing and fixing things up before they go out to the customers. Sometimes the power goes out and everything stops which is just how things go in this part of town. We have piles of fabric sitting in the corners and boxes waiting to be packed. It is not a very quiet workplace because of the constant noise from the equipment.
