Tandoori Chowk

We’re located on the Dehradun Road in Roorkee, right in the Purwavali Ganeshpur area. Most people know us because we’re very close to the No11 School. Tandoori Chowk is just a small local eatery. We’ve been serving the community here for a while now. The road out front gets quite busy with students and commuters going back and forth all day. We see a lot of the same faces every single day, which is nice for us. Our setup is very basic. We’ve got a couple of guys in the back who handle all the heavy lifting with the tandoor oven. It’s a hot and tiring job, but they don't complain much about it. We don't have a marketing team or anyone telling us how to look professional or polished. We just keep the place as clean as we can and focus on the daily cooking. Sometimes we run out of a particular dish before the day is over, especially if a large group of people comes in suddenly. That’s just part of how we run things here. The interior is simple, nothing that would win any design awards or anything. We just want folks to feel like they can sit down and relax for a bit while they eat. Roorkee has a specific vibe, and we think we fit right in. If you’re walking past the school, you can usually hear us working away.
