Badri Kedar Garhwali Dhaba

You can find us right on the Haridwar Road, specifically in the Chidiyapur area. It’s a good spot for people traveling through to stop and get a meal. We serve Garhwali style food because that is what we know. It’s a simple dhaba, nothing fancy about the tables or the chairs. We mostly use stainless steel plates and the water is always cold. Travelers often stop here when they are tired of driving and just want something that reminds them of home cooking. We keep the stove going pretty much all day. The air out here in Chidiyapur is a bit fresher than in the middle of the city, which is nice for a break. We don't have a huge menu, just the standard things we do well every day. My brother and I run the place with a couple of helpers. Sometimes the truck drivers stay for a long time talking, and other times families just rush in and out. The road can be quite dusty, so we are always wiping down the benches. It's a basic setup. We don't have a website or anything like that, we just rely on people seeing our sign from the road and pulling over. If you like mountain-style food, we usually have a few pots of dal and some fresh rotis ready. We try to keep the prices fair so anyone passing by can afford a full stomach.
