Dada Boudir Restaurant & Hotel

If you walk down Railway Road in Haridwar, you’ll find us right in the main market area. Being so close to the station means there is always someone coming or going. Dada Boudir Restaurant & Hotel has been around for a while now. We run the hotel upstairs and the restaurant is on the ground floor. It gets very crowded during the pilgrimage season, and sometimes it feels like we don't have enough hands to handle everyone. The main market is noisy and full of energy, which we have grown to love over the years. We spend most of our day making sure the rooms are tidy and the kitchen is stocked up for the next meal. It's not a quiet life here. You can hear the bells from the temples and the sound of the trains in the distance all day long. We have people staying with us from all over the country. Most of them just want a clean place to sleep and a hot meal after a long journey. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s just a straightforward place for travelers. My family helps out with the daily chores, from washing the linens to helping out in the kitchen when it gets busy. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing every single day. There’s always something to fix or someone to help out. It keeps us on our toes for the most part.
