About Sukhija Punjabi Restaurants – Tourism in Haridwar
We are located right in front of Jairam Ashram in the Bhimgoda area. If you’ve walked around Haridwar, you know how crowded it gets near the Ganga. Our place is inside the Mohan Lal Seva Sadan. We’ve been serving Punjabi food to pilgrims and locals for years. It’s a small space, and during the yatra season, it feels like there’s barely enough room to move. People come in with their families after visiting the temples. We don’t have a massive menu with five hundred items. We mostly stick to what we know, like parathas and heavy gravies that keep you full. The waiters here have been around a long time. They might not smile every single second because they’re busy running back and forth, but they get the job done. Sometimes the chai takes a few extra minutes if the stove is full, but nobody seems to mind much. We see a lot of different people from all over India. It’s interesting to watch the street from the front window while things settle down in the afternoon. We don’t do any fancy decorations. Just some plain paint on the walls and sturdy tables. It’s a place to sit down and eat a real meal before you head back out to the ghats. That’s pretty much the story of Sukhija Punjabi Restaurants. Just a local spot doing its thing every day. Haridwar is always moving, and we are just right there in the middle of it.
