Shivam Shudh Vaishno Bhojnalya & Green Garden

Shivam Shudh Vaishno Bhojnalya & Green Garden is located on Roorkee Road in Mandawar. We are right opposite Quantum College, so we get a lot of students coming over when they are tired of their canteen food. The place has a little bit of a green area, which is why we call it Green Garden, but it's mostly just some grass and a few pots. We only serve vegetarian food here because that is how we do things in Haridwar. It is a big space, so we can fit a lot of people at once. The kitchen stays busy during the lunch hour when the college lets out. We make rotis and dal and different vegetable dishes every day. The furniture is basic wood and we use steel plates. It is not a place for a fancy date, just a place to eat till you are full. We have a lot of truck drivers stopping by too since we are on the main road. The dust from the Roorkee Road is a bit of a problem, but we try to wipe the tables often. We don't have a big staff, just some local boys helping out. Sometimes the service is a bit slow when it gets packed. We just do our best to get the food out while it is still hot. It’s a simple life out here near the college.
