Grover Restaurant

We are located in Malik Tower on Railway Road in Jwalapur, Haridwar. Our restaurant is quite close to the Rail Chowki. Being near the railway means there is never a quiet moment. We see all kinds of people coming off the trains or waiting for their next ride. Grover Restaurant is just a straightforward place to get a meal. The furniture is made of heavy wood and we have had it for years. It is a bit scratched up but it does the job. We don't have a big team of waiters. It is usually just a couple of us running back and forth from the kitchen. Haridwar is a holy city and it gets very crowded during the festivals. During those times, we are on our feet for sixteen hours a day sometimes. It is exhausting but that is the business we chose. We don't have any fancy mission statements or slogans. We just cook what people want to eat. The kitchen can be a bit messy when we are in the middle of a rush but we clean it every night before we leave. We get our supplies from the local market nearby. Sometimes the traffic on Railway Road is so bad that the delivery trucks can't get to us. We just make do with what we have. It is an honest way to make a living and we have been at it for a while.
