Tandoor

Our place, Tandoor, is situated on Layam Road in Kochi. If you know the 682011 area, you know it can get pretty busy with all the shops and offices around. We have been in this spot for a long time now. The building isn't brand new or anything, it has its own character with some cracks and old paint on the walls. Inside, it is just a simple setup with tables and chairs that have been around for years. We get a lot of office people during the day who are just looking for a quick bite before heading back to work. Layam Road has its own rhythm, and we are just a small part of it. The kitchen is right there, and you can usually hear the sounds of cooking and the staff talking to each other. We don't have a big sign or any bright lights. Most people find us just by walking past or because they live in the neighborhood. It gets a bit humid inside, but that is just Kochi for you. We just try to keep things moving and make sure everyone gets their food on time. It is a basic place for a meal, no frills or fancy decorations. Some days are slow and we just sit around talking, and other days we are running around trying to keep up. It is just a regular life here on Layam Road, and we are glad to be part of the street.
