Shappu Curry

Shappu Curry is located on T D Road in Ernakulam. We are tucked away right behind Maharajas College. If you know the college area, we aren't hard to find. It’s a busy part of the city with lots of students and office workers walking around all day. The restaurant is a simple place. We don't have fancy interiors or expensive furniture. It’s just wooden tables and chairs for people to sit and eat. The kitchen is small but we keep it going from morning till night. We serve the kind of food people around here grew up eating. It can get quite hot inside during the lunch rush because of all the cooking, but we have fans. A lot of students from Maharajas come in because we are so close. We know many of them by name. T D Road can be narrow and parking is sometimes a headache, so most people just walk over. We don't have a big menu. We just make what is fresh and available that day. My family helps out with the serving and the cleaning. It's a lot of work but it keeps us busy. We don't do any marketing or social media stuff. People just know we are here behind the college. If you want a regular meal without any fuss, that's what we do. It's just a local curry spot in the heart of Ernakulam.
