Sand Dunes Persian Cafe

We’ve been running Sand Dunes Persian Cafe for a while now here at Ahilash Complex. If you know the North End of T D Road in Ernakulam, you probably know where we are. We are just down the street from Albert College. St Teresa Church is right across from us too, so it gets pretty busy on Sundays when people finish up there. We focus on Persian food because that is what we know how to do. It is not a very big place, just a simple cafe where people can sit and eat without much fuss. Students from the college come in a lot between their classes for a quick bite. The T D Road area has changed quite a bit over the years but we just keep doing our thing. We open up in the morning and stay busy until the evening rush. Sometimes the traffic outside gets a bit loud, but inside it is mostly just the smell of the kitchen. We don't have fancy decorations or anything. It is mostly just tables and chairs and good food. People usually find us because they are already in the neighborhood for school or church. We like being part of this little corner of Ernakulam. It feels like home to us and the regulars seem to like the way things are. We just try to keep the kitchen running smooth and make sure everyone gets their food on time. It is a lot of work but it keeps us going and we appreciate everyone who stops in.
