Rossitta Wood Castle Hotel

Our hotel is an old house located at 1/334 Rose Street in Fort Kochi. This is a very old part of Cochin, and the building itself has been around for a long time. It has a lot of wood in the construction, which is why it has the name it does. We have a few rooms upstairs and some downstairs, all with high ceilings and old-style windows. Managing an old property like this in the 682001 area means there is always some maintenance work to do. Paint peels because of the sea air and the wood needs constant checking to make sure everything is solid. We aren't a big modern hotel with elevators or shiny lobbies. It is more like staying in someone’s big old home. The street outside is narrow and paved with stones, and it gets quite quiet at night once the shops close up for the evening. Most of our guests are people who want to see the historical parts of Fort Kochi and are okay with the creaky floors and the lack of fancy amenities. We spend our days checking people in, helping them with their bags, and making sure the rooms are ready for the next arrival. It’s a small team of us here. We don’t have a big corporate office; we just sit at the small desk near the entrance. It is a practical place for someone who wants to be right in the center of the old town.
