Rossitta Garden Restaurant

This restaurant is part of the Rossitta Wood Castle hotel over on Rose Street in Fort Kochi. We are located at number 1/334, right in the middle of the old part of town. The building is quite old and has a lot of history, which you can see in the wooden beams and the way the walls are built. Being in Kochi Fort means we have a lot of tourists walking past the garden every day. We have tables set out where people can sit under the trees and eat. It’s a bit cooler out there than on the street, though the humidity in Kerala is always there. We serve mostly local food and some things that travelers usually like. The kitchen is tucked away in the back of the property. Most of us have been working here for a while, so we know the routine of the morning prep and the busy evening hours when the lights are turned on in the garden. It isn isn't a very fast-paced place; things move a bit slower here, which fits the vibe of Rose Street. Sometimes the leaves fall on the tables and we have to keep sweeping them away so it stays tidy. We just try to keep the food decent and the area clean for whoever wanders in from the beach or the nearby shops. It’s just a simple garden spot in an old house that we try to keep running.
