Rahat Restaurant

We are right on MG Road in Ernakulam. Most people know us because we are near the Padma Theatre. It’s a very busy part of the city, always lots of noise and people walking by. Our restaurant has been here for a while. We see a lot of people coming in after a movie or while they are out shopping on MG Road. The space inside is simple. We have rows of tables and a wash area at the back. It’s not the quietest place because of the traffic outside, but it’s convenient. We serve a lot of rice dishes and the usual Kerala style food. The kitchen staff starts early in the morning to get things ready for the lunch crowd. We don't have a lot of decorations on the walls. Just the menu and maybe a clock. Sometimes we run out of certain items by the evening because it gets so busy. The servers are usually in a hurry, moving between tables with plates. It’s a bit chaotic during the peak hours, but that's how a city restaurant works. We just focus on getting the food out to the tables. It’s a local spot for a quick meal. Nothing fancy, just Rahat on the main road. We’ve been part of this street for years and seen many shops come and go. We just stay here and keep the kitchen running for the daily crowd who needs a quick bite to eat.
