Princess Restaurant

You can find Princess Restaurant inside the Sealord Hotel on Shanmugham Road in Ernakulam. We are right by Marine Drive, so we get a lot of people who have been walking by the water and want to sit down for a meal. The view outside is one of the best things about being here, as you can see the activity on the backwaters. The restaurant has been here for a long time, and the building itself is a bit of a landmark in this part of Kochi. We open up in the morning and get the tables ready for the day. It’s a mix of tourists and local business people who come in. We try to keep the atmosphere relaxed, though it can get a bit loud when the place is full. The staff here knows the menu by heart, and we just focus on getting the food out to the tables without too much fuss. Ernakulam is a fast-paced city, but being near the water helps things feel a bit calmer. We spend our time managing the kitchen and making sure the dining area looks okay. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and running back and forth, but that’s the nature of the restaurant business. We aren't trying to be the trendiest place in town; we just want to be a reliable spot where people can get a good meal while they are in the Marine Drive area. It's just us doing our thing in a very old part of the city.
