Meenruchi Restaurant

We are located in the Chandrika Residency building on Divans Road. If you know where TDM Hall Junction is in Ernakulam, we’re right near there. It’s a busy little area, especially in the evenings when people are heading home from work. We mostly serve local food, the kind of things people here grew up eating. Being so close to the coast, seafood is a big part of what we do. The kitchen starts early with the prep work, getting the spices ground and the fish cleaned. It’s a lot of work, but we’ve been doing it long enough that it feels natural. The restaurant isn't decorated with anything fancy. We have tables, chairs, and food that tastes okay. That’s really all people want when they come in. Sometimes it gets crowded and people have to wait a few minutes, but nobody seems to mind too much. We try to keep the prices fair so anyone can come in for a meal. The staff are just local folks who know their way around a kitchen. We don't use any secret recipes, just the standard way of cooking things that tastes right. It’s a decent place to eat if you’re wandering around Divans Road. We just keep things moving and make sure the pots are full. It's a busy life but it keeps us on our toes and we like the bustle.
