Marina Restaurant

Marina Restaurant is located at the Tourist Amenity Centre in Kochi Fort. It is a nice enough spot near the water in Ernakulam. Being in a tourist area means we see a lot of different people every day. Some are from right around here and others are visiting from very far away. The restaurant is not very big, but we have enough tables to handle the lunch rush. We start our day early getting the kitchen ready for the first orders. The smell of spices and tea is always in the air around here. We don't have a fancy menu with hundreds of items on it. We just make the food we know how to cook well. The weather in Kochi can get very hot and humid, so we try to keep the place as cool as we can for the people sitting down. It is a practical kind of place for a meal. We spend a lot of time cleaning the floors and washing the dishes after everyone leaves. During the monsoon season, the rain hits the roof pretty hard and we have to make sure no water leaks inside. Kochi Fort is a busy place with lots of history, but for us, it is just where we go to work every day. We see the big ships in the distance and the people walking by the amenity centre. It is a good place to sit for a bit.
