Mando Cafe

Mando Cafe is situated inside the International Hotel on MG Road. We are right by Ernakulam College. Being on MG Road means there is always something going on outside. The traffic is constant and there are always students and office people walking past our windows. Our cafe is a small spot where you can sit down for a bit. We’ve been here in this corner of the hotel for some time. We serve coffee, tea, and some snacks throughout the day. The menu isn't very long. We have a few tables and chairs that have seen better days, but they are sturdy and people don't seem to mind. The staff here is pretty relaxed. We know a lot of the college kids who come in between their classes to grab a quick drink. The lighting is a bit soft, which makes it a good place to hide from the sun when it gets too hot out. We don't have any fancy espresso machines with a hundred buttons. We just brew the coffee and serve it. Sometimes we run out of certain snacks by the afternoon because it's hard to judge how many people will stop by. We spend our time wiping down the counters and chatting with the regulars who come in every day. It’s not a loud place despite being on a main road. The hotel walls are thick enough to keep the noise out. We just keep things moving and try to be helpful.
