Mamma Mia

Mamma Mia is located on the Seaport Airport Road in Kakkanad. We are situated right near Bharath Matha College, which brings in a lot of younger people throughout the day. Ernakulam is always growing, and this road is always full of cars and buses going somewhere else. We started this place because we wanted to work for ourselves instead of working for someone else. It is a small shop and we do most of the work ourselves. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls or expensive paintings. We just have some pictures we liked and some simple lights that we put up ourselves. The kitchen is where we spend almost all our time every single day. We prep everything in the morning before the lunch rush starts and the students arrive. It gets very hot in there, especially in the afternoons when the sun hits the building. We use local ingredients we find at the market down the road. Sometimes the supply is late and we have to wait around for the truck, but that is part of the job. We don't have any corporate training or manuals. We just treat people the way we would want to be treated. The floors are a bit worn down from all the walking, but we keep them clean. We don't have any big goals other than finishing the day and getting home to rest before doing it again. We hope the meals we make are enough for the folks who stop by.
