Kushi Cafe And Restaurant

We are tucked away at No.1/946 in the Njalparambu area, right on Fort Road in Ernakulam. Being in this part of town means we get a lot of different people coming through the doors. Some are tourists looking for a place to sit after walking around Fort Kochi, and others are locals who live just down the street. Kushi Cafe And Restaurant is a small operation. We don't have a lot of space, but we make it work. The kitchen is right there and you can hear the pans clanking and the stove hissing most of the day. Fort Road is always busy with bikes and cars, so it is nice to have a spot where you can step inside and get away from the sun for a bit. We serve simple food and coffee. There is nothing too complicated about it. We use what we can find at the market and we cook it up fresh. Some days are better than others, and sometimes we are just trying to keep up with the dishes. We don't have a fancy website or a big sign, but people find us anyway. It feels like a neighborhood kitchen more than a business sometimes. We just want to serve a decent plate of food to whoever walks in. It is a quiet life for the most part, despite the noise outside on the road. We try to keep things going as long as the lights are on.
