The Institution Of Electronics & Telecom Engineers is located at No. XL/216 in the Jewel Arcade building on Layam Road. It’s a well-known building in this part of town. We have been here for a long time, and the office reflects that. It isn't a modern glass building; it's more of a traditional office space with plenty of character. We focus on things related to electronics and telecommunications, mostly providing a hub for professionals and students in the field. The hallways can be a bit dim, but our office is usually full of activity. We have a small library and a meeting room where people sit and discuss technical stuff. It’s not a place for sales pitches. We just provide a local base for the engineering community. The staff here knows everyone by name, and we usually have a pot of tea going. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s just us managing the memberships and organizing small local events or exams. Sometimes the traffic on Layam Road makes it hard to park, but most of our visitors just take the bus or walk from nearby. We like being in this part of the city because it feels lived-in and real. We don't use any fancy language to describe what we do. We just look after the needs of the electronics community here as best as we can. It’s a steady, quiet kind of work that we’ve grown used to over the years.
