Zorba organic resturant & Maayaa healing school

Rishikesh is a place where people come for all sorts of reasons, and we are right in the heart of that at Laxman Jhulla. Our spot, Zorba organic resturant & Maayaa healing school, is near the Dharmraj temple, situated just above the Maayaa healing school. It is an interesting mix because we have the restaurant and the school in the same space. The view of the area is quite something, but the day-to-day work is mostly about keeping things running. We deal with organic ingredients, which means we spend a good chunk of time checking what comes in from the suppliers. The atmosphere around Laxman Jhulla is always a bit spiritual but also very busy with people and pilgrims walking by. You can hear the bells from the temples and the sound of the river if it’s a quiet morning. Our building is old and has a lot of character, though that also means things need fixing every now and then. We aren't a corporate chain; it's just a few of us who work here at the school and the restaurant. The stairs are a bit steep and the walls are painted in simple colors. We spend our time between the kitchen and the school area, making sure both are ready for whoever walks in. It is a slow-paced but steady kind of life here in 249201. We just take things one day at a time and keep the place open for everyone.
