Abhinandan Sweet & Restaurant

At Abhinandan Sweet & Restaurant, we are located on the Rishikesh road in Bhaniawala. If you are heading towards the airport, you will likely pass us near Durga Chowk. Dehradun has changed a lot, and this area has become much busier because of the airport traffic. We see a lot of people who are either just arriving in the city or are on their way out to catch a flight. It is a good spot for a quick stop. We have both sweets and regular food, so the counters are usually filled with different things throughout the day. The smell of frying snacks usually fills the air in the mornings. It is a family-style environment where things are a bit informal. We don't have a big team of waiters in uniforms; it is just a few of us making sure people get what they ordered. The road outside can get quite dusty with all the construction and cars going by, so we have to clean the front area pretty often. Durga Chowk is a busy junction, so there is always noise from the traffic. We just keep our heads down and focus on the cooking and serving. People come in for a box of sweets to take home or just a quick tea while they wait for their ride. It is a very practical, no-nonsense kind of shop that serves the local community and the travelers passing through Bhaniawala.
