Up here in Rishikesh, specifically in the Tapovan area near Laxman Jhula, you’ll find 155 Miles From Delhi. We are located right near the police check post. The name comes from how far we are from the capital, but life here feels a lot further away than that. It’s much more relaxed, though the streets can get crowded with travelers and people heading to the river. We have a lot of people stopping in who are just looking for a break from the heat or the long walk up the hill. Our place is not meant to be a high-end destination. It’s just a spot in Tapovan where you can sit down and have a bite. We see people from all over the world here, which is the best part about being in Rishikesh. The building is simple and we try to keep things grounded. We aren't interested in the whole corporate restaurant scene. We just want to provide a place that feels honest. Sometimes the power goes out or the rain is so loud you can't hear yourself think, but that's just part of living in the mountains. We keep the doors open and the kitchen ready for whoever walks in. It’s a quiet life, mostly, and we like being right by the check post where everything happens. It’s just our little place on the road.
