We are located at 69, Rajpur Road in Dehradun, which is a very busy part of town. Being near Anandam Chowk means there is always something going on outside our door. From the early morning, you can see people heading to work and students walking by. Our restaurant is right in the middle of all that action. We spend a lot of our day in the kitchen, which gets pretty loud with the exhaust fans and the clinking of dishes. The building is an older one, so it has its little quirks like a creaky door and floors that have seen a lot of shoes. We have simple wooden tables and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet. We're more focused on getting the prep done and making sure the stove is working right. Dehradun weather can be a bit unpredictable, so some days we’re dealing with rain coming in the front and other days it’s quite hot. We don't have any fancy waiters in uniforms; it's just us in our regular clothes serving whoever walks in. People come in from the shopping area nearby to take a break. It's a plain spot where you can hear the sounds of Rajpur Road while you sit. We just try to keep the place tidy and make sure there’s enough water for everyone. It’s a busy life being near the chowk, but we are used to the pace by now.
