Adarsh resturant

Dehradun's Clock Tower area is never quiet. We sit right there, across from the entrance of Paltan Bazar. Adarsh resturant isn't one of those fancy places you see in magazines, it's just where people go when they are hungry after a long day of shopping. The address is simple enough to find once you are in the 248001 area. We deal with a lot of noise from the traffic outside, especially the rickshaws honking all the time. The tables are old and we keep them wiped down, but the place has a worn-in feel that comes from years of people coming through the doors. Our staff mostly live nearby and they know the regulars by name. Sometimes we run out of certain items by the afternoon, and we just tell people to pick something else. It is what it is. The view from the window is basically just people rushing around with bags of clothes and shoes. We don't have a big fancy menu, just the stuff we know how to make well. The kitchen door swings a lot and you can hear the clinking of plates from the back. We try to keep things moving so people don't have to wait too long for a table. On weekends, the crowd from Paltan Bazar is even bigger, so it can get a little chaotic inside. We just do our best to keep up. It’s been this way for years.
