Walk In Woods

We set up Walk In Woods on GMS Road in Dehradun. The shop is actually above the Axis Bank, near the Ballupur Chowk. It is a good spot because you can look out the window and see all the traffic moving through the intersection. The interior has a bit of a woody theme, which is why we picked the name, I guess. It is a lot of work keeping the place looking decent since the dust from the main road settles on everything. I usually get here before the bank opens to start setting things up. Dehradun has changed a lot, and GMS Road is much busier than it used to be. We get people who are tired from the commute and just want to sit somewhere quiet for a half hour. The staff is mostly local boys who are learning the ropes. Sometimes we run out of a specific ingredient because the delivery truck got stuck in the hills, so we just have to tell the customers we cannot make that dish today. It is a bit informal like that. We have some plants inside, but they struggle a bit without enough sunlight. The menu has a bit of everything, nothing too complicated. It is a nice place to hang out when the weather is cool. We are not trying to be the most famous place in town, just a steady spot where the food is okay and the chairs are comfortable enough to sit in for a while.
