The View Restaurant

Up here at Nalapani House, things move a bit slower than down in the city. The View Restaurant is located in the Kincraig area, specifically the Hayacoolie Estate part of Mussoorie. It’s a quiet spot. People usually find us when they’re wandering around looking for a place to sit for a while. The restaurant is really just about the location and having something to eat while you're looking out at the hills. It’s an old building, so it has its quirks, like floors that creak a bit and windows that sometimes stick when the weather gets damp. We don't have a big fancy menu, just the usual stuff that people like when they’re traveling or living up here. My family has been around this area for a long time. We decided to open this place because we had the space and there wasn't much else nearby in this part of Mussoorie. It’s a long way from the main mall road, which is nice if you want to avoid the crowds. We spend a lot of time just keeping the place tidy and dealing with the mountain weather. Sometimes the fog rolls in so thick you can't see the road, but we stay open anyway. It’s a simple life running a restaurant on an estate. We aren't trying to be the most famous place in town, just a reliable one for anyone passing through who needs a break from their walk.
