The Rice Bowl Amitash Restaurant

We are located right on the Mall Road in Mussoorie, near the Rialto Gate at Kulri. If you have been up here during the tourist season, you know how packed it gets. People are walking up and down the hill all day. We are right in the middle of that. The air is cold most of the year, but inside the restaurant, it stays warm from the kitchen. We have been serving food at The Rice Bowl for quite a few years now. The building is old, like most of the structures on Mall Road, and it has its own quirks. Sometimes the floorboards creak, and the windows might rattle when the wind picks up. We don't try to make it look like a modern city cafe. It’s just a mountain spot. We get a lot of families visiting for the weekend and some regulars who live in town year-round. We handle the lunch rush and then the dinner crowd, and in between, we prep for the next day. It can be hard work getting supplies up the hill, but we manage. You can see the people passing by the window while you eat. We don't have a fancy website or a big marketing plan. We just open the doors every morning and wait for the walkers to come in. It’s a simple life up here in the hills.
