The Golden Arch Restaurant

The Golden Arch is tucked inside the Solitaire Plaza Hotel on R K Verma Road. We are right there on Mall Road in Mussoorie, pretty close to the Picture Palace. Being up here in the hills, things are a bit different than in the plains. The weather changes fast, and so does the crowd depending on the season. When it’s tourist season, Mall Road gets incredibly packed, and we are right in the middle of all that noise and energy. We’ve been serving food here for quite some time now. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing team; we just open the doors and cook. The restaurant has a view of the street, so you can see everyone walking by while you eat. It’s not a very big place, so it can feel a bit cramped when it's full. We do our best to keep the kitchen moving, but sometimes the mountain air makes everything feel a bit slower. Our staff are local people who know the roads and the shortcuts around Mussoorie. We don’t use any complicated recipes or try to be modern. It’s just the kind of food we know how to make. If the service is a bit casual, it’s because we treat the place like a second home. We just want to make sure you get a warm meal before you head back out into the cold hill air. It’s nothing more and nothing less than a local spot.
