The Ambrozia Restaurants

You can find us at 299 Dehradun Road in the Ganga Nagar area of Rishikesh. We are right by Natraj Chowk, which is a very busy intersection where all the buses and taxis pass through. Because of that, we get a lot of noise from the horns outside, but we’ve gotten used to it. The restaurant is a simple setup with enough tables for the groups that come in off the road. We spend a lot of our time in the kitchen prepping for the dinner rush. It gets quite hot in there during the summer. We don't have any fancy uniforms; we just wear what is practical for the work. The floors are tiled and easy to wash down at the end of every night. We see a lot of travelers who are just passing through on their way to Dehradun or the mountains. We also have local neighbors who stop by for a quick bite. Our menu is printed on simple paper and we don't change it much. The fans on the ceiling keep the air moving, though it can still be warm in the afternoons. We handle everything ourselves, from buying the groceries in the market to cleaning the windows. It’s hard work but it keeps us busy. We don't have a big sign out front, just the one over the door. People seem to find us just fine. We just try to keep things honest and the service moving along.
