Sicoh Bar & Restaurant

Running a place like Sicoh Bar and Restaurant on Mall Road in Mussoorie is an experience. If you have been here, you know how the road is always full of people walking up and down. We are located in Puldi Market. It is a bit of a walk but most people don't mind because the air is good up here. We get a mix of people, some locals who live in Mussoorie all year and tourists who are just here for two days. The bar part stays quite active in the evenings. It gets cold at night, even in the summer, so people like to come inside where it is shielded from the wind. We have been in this spot for a while. The building is old, like most things on Mall Road. We have to fix the roof every now and then because the rain is heavy during the monsoon. We don't try to be anything we are not. It is just a restaurant and a bar where you can get a drink and something to eat. I spend most of my day talking to the suppliers or checking the kitchen. Mussoorie has changed with more cars and hotels, but Puldi Market still feels like the old days. We just keep the doors open and see who comes in. It’s a lot of work but it keeps us busy throughout the seasons.
