Royal Cafe Restaurant

You can find Royal Cafe Restaurant up in Mussoorie on Mall Road. We are at number 5, Mohan Vihar, near the Kunari Bazar area. Being on the Mall Road means we see a lot of different faces. In the summer, it's packed with tourists looking for a break from the heat down in the plains. In the winter, it gets pretty quiet and cold, and it’s mostly just us and the locals. The building is an older one, which gives it a bit of character I suppose. We aren't a big chain or anything like that. It’s just a regular cafe where people can sit down for a bit. The kitchen stays busy with all sorts of orders. Sometimes the mist comes right up to the door and you can barely see the street. It’s a nice place to work, even if it gets stressful when the tourist season is at its peak. We don't have a polished way of doing things. We just cook and serve. The staff has been here for a while, and we all know how the Mall Road works. It’s a lot of walking for the customers to get here, but that’s Mussoorie for you. We just try to keep the place clean and the food hot. There’s no big philosophy behind it. We just open the doors in the morning and close them at night. It’s just life in the hills.
