We have our shop on Saharanpur Road in Dehradun City. We are quite close to the Swarga Puri Mandir, so people use that as a landmark to find us. My brother and I have been working here together for a long time. It’s a typical local business in the 248001 area. We deal with people from all over Dehradun who come by for various things. The shop is usually a bit cluttered because we have a lot of stock coming in and out. We don’t have a fancy display or a big marketing team. It’s just us two and a couple of helpers. We spend our days talking to customers and checking the inventory. Dehradun has grown so much lately, and the traffic on Saharanpur Road is much heavier than it used to be. Sometimes it’s hard for delivery trucks to get to us. We just take it as it comes. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in town. We just like doing our work and going home at the end of the day. The building is older, and the floor has some scuffs from all the boxes we move around. We know most of the other shopkeepers on this stretch. We’ve been here through the rains and the winters. It’s just a regular life for us, keeping the shop open and serving the people who walk through the door. It is sometimes stressful but we make it through. We’ve been here since the beginning.
