Om Ganga Dhaba

Om Ganga Dhaba is located up in Mussoorie, specifically in the Happy Valley area at Shadi Bhawan. Being in Happy Valley means it is a bit more peaceful than the main Mall Road, but we still get a lot of visitors, especially people who are out for long walks. The weather up here is usually quite cold, so we spend a lot of our time keeping the tea water boiling and the stove hot. The dhaba is a simple building and we don't have any of the luxuries you might find in the big hotels. It is a place where you can just sit down and have a basic meal while looking out at the hills. Sometimes the clouds come right down into the valley and everything gets very foggy. When that happens, the dhaba feels very small and cozy. We handle everything ourselves, from the cooking to the cleaning. We don't have a huge menu, just a few things that we know how to make well. Most of our furniture is wooden and a bit old now. People like to stop here because it is quiet and away from the noise of the main town. We just try to make sure there is enough food for whoever happens to walk through the door. It is a quiet life in Mussoorie, and we have gotten used to the slow pace of things up here.
