Maheshwari Annapurna Bhojnalaya

Our little bhojnalaya is tucked away at Shop No. 43/56 in Dehradun City. Most people find us because we’re right near the PNB ATM, which is a good landmark if you’re looking for the place. Dehradun has a lot of big restaurants now, but we’ve stuck to the traditional bhojnalaya style. It’s really just about serving home-style food to people who are away from home or just don’t want to cook. I spend a lot of time in the kitchen myself, making sure the dal and vegetables are just right. We don't have a massive menu with a hundred items. Instead, we just focus on the basics that people need to fill their stomachs. The shop isn't very large, so it can feel a bit tight when it's raining outside and everyone crowds in at once. We get a mix of students, shopkeepers from nearby, and people just passing through the city. There's no fancy decor or music playing, just the sound of people eating and talking. We try to keep the prices where anyone can afford a full meal. Being in the heart of the city means there's always something going on outside our door. We’ve been here for a good while, and we plan to stay as long as people keep showing up for a hot plate of food. It’s just honest, hard work for us every single day.
