Universal Nursery & Primary School

Universal Nursery & Primary School is located in a four-storied building over at Anchal Bazar in the Haider Para area of Siliguri. It is not the biggest school you will ever see, but we have enough room for the little ones in our nursery classes and the kids in the primary section too. Every morning starts out quite loud when all the students arrive and head up to their classrooms. The stairs can be a bit much for the smaller children with their heavy bags, but they get used to the climb eventually. We try to keep things pretty simple around here. Most of our teachers are local people from around Siliguri, so they already know many of the families who send their children to us. We don't focus on being fancy or having the newest gadgets. Instead, we just spend our time on the textbooks and making sure the kids know how to behave themselves. The market area at Anchal Bazar gets really busy sometimes, so we have to be careful about the traffic when the school day ends. We spend a lot of time on basic reading and math. The classrooms get a decent amount of light, and even though we don't have a big playground, the kids find ways to stay active during their breaks. It is a practical place for families in this part of town to send their kids without needing to travel very far for a basic education.
