Gandhi Memorial High School

We are located in Pradhan Nagar, which is a well-known part of Siliguri. Gandhi Memorial High School has been a fixture here for a long time. The building shows its age a bit, but it is sturdy and has seen many groups of students pass through its doors over the years. Being in Siliguri, we get a lot of rain, so the roof and the walls are something we always have to look after. The classrooms are large with high ceilings and plenty of windows to let the breeze in. You can see the students in their uniforms walking down the lanes of Pradhan Nagar every morning. We have a staff room where the teachers sit and grade papers while drinking tea during their free periods. It is a busy place, especially when the senior students are preparing for their big exams. The sound of the school bell is something the whole neighborhood is used to by now. We don't have any high-tech gadgets in every room, just the usual chalkboards and wooden desks that have been used for decades. It feels very traditional here. Parents come by to talk about their kids' progress, and we know most of them from the local market or the bus stop. It is a simple, straightforward high school that serves the families living in this corner of the city. We keep things running as best as we can every single day without much fuss.
