Prince Ice Cream

We’ve been here at No:1/1057 on Periyar Street for a while now. It’s a busy part of Gandhi Nagar in Redhills. Most days it’s just us getting everything ready before the sun gets too high. The shop isn’t fancy or anything, just a place where we keep the freezers running and hope the power stays steady. Sometimes the street gets crowded with people heading home, and they stop in because it’s hot outside. We handle everything ourselves, from cleaning the floors to making sure the tubs are full. It is a lot of work, especially in the summer months when everyone wants something cold. The noise from the street is always there, but you get used to it after a few years. We know most of the people who walk by every day. Some people just come in to say hello while they’re out doing their shopping. Redhills is a decent place to be, even if the traffic gets a bit much on the weekends. We try to keep the place tidy, but with so many people coming in and out, there is always something to wipe down. It’s just how it is running a small spot like this. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us making sure things don't melt. We spend a lot of time checking the thermometers and making sure the lids are closed tight. It's a simple life on Periyar Street.
