Naveen Ice Creams

Naveen Ice Creams is over at No. 26 on Reddy Theru. If you know Nerkundram, we are right by the government Tasmac shop. It’s a busy little spot and we spend most of our time just making sure the freezers stay cold enough in this heat. My brother and I run the place. We started out small and mostly just sell to people walking by or kids coming home from school. There isn't much space inside, so most folks just grab their cone and stand outside on the street. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to scramble to move things around, but that is just part of living here. We try to keep a decent variety in the tubs. Nothing too fancy, just the flavors people actually like to eat when it’s boiling outside. Sometimes we forget to put the sign out front, but everyone knows where we are anyway. The neighbors are nice, and we get a lot of regulars who stop in after work. It gets a bit crowded in the evenings when the sun goes down. We aren't trying to change the world or anything, we just want to make sure you get a cold treat that hasn't melted by the time you pay. It’s a simple life here in Nerkundram. We’ve been at this for a few years now and don’t plan on going anywhere else. Just a local shop doing what we can.
