We are tucked away on 1st Street in Sankarapuram, over in Sithalapakkam. It’s a bit of a quiet neighborhood compared to the main roads. Our place is at Plot No. 43. We handle food products here, mostly traditional stuff that people used to eat more of. The kitchen area is always busy. You can usually smell something being toasted or ground up if you walk by our door. It’s a small operation. We started this because we wanted to keep some of the old ways of making food alive. We have a few machines for packing and grinding, but a lot of it is still done by hand. The staff are mostly from around the area. We walk to work or take the bus. It’s a tight space, so we have to stay organized, though some days it feels like we’re tripping over boxes of raw ingredients. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of the grains and roots that come in. If it’s not right, we don’t use it. It’s pretty simple. We don't have a big fancy office with glass walls. It’s just a regular building where we work hard. Sometimes the rain floods the street a little, and we have to put out sandbags, but we manage. We’re just trying to make food that tastes like how it used to. It's nothing fancy, just regular food from our kitchen to your table. We hope people enjoy it, but we mostly just focus on the cooking part and getting it packed up right.
