Ershad Ice Cream Shop

I set up Ershad Ice Cream Shop here at 47 CP Ramaswamy Road in Teynampet because it is such a lively part of the city. There is always someone walking by, whether it is students or people working in the nearby offices. The shop is small, but it holds everything we need to keep the freezers running. Teynampet can get really humid, so when people step in here, they usually look pretty relieved to feel the air conditioning. I keep the flavors simple. I noticed that people mostly go for the classics anyway. I spend most of my day behind the counter, talking to the regulars. Some of them have been coming since I first opened the doors. I don't have a big staff, just one guy who helps me out with the evening rush. We try to keep the windows clean so people can see the menu from the sidewalk, but the city grime is a tough battle. It is a good life, being part of the local street. I like hearing the stories of the people who stop in for a quick break. We don't have any big mission or corporate goals. I just want to make sure the ice cream is cold and the price is fair for the neighbors. It is a honest way to earn a living in a busy place like this.
