Chennai Dairy Private Limited operates out of D. No. 4G in the Front Block of No. 57/2B, which is the Sri Sai Subhodhaya Apartments in Thiruvanmiyur. It’s a busy area near the beach. We aren't a big farm with cows standing around here; this is more where we handle the distribution and the business side of things. We've been in Thiruvanmiyur for a good long time. Most of us live close by, so we can walk to the office if we have to. The apartment complex is pretty quiet during the day when everyone is at work. We deal with milk, curd, and other dairy items. It’s all about timing in this business. If the trucks are late, everything gets pushed back. We spend a lot of our time on the phone with the suppliers and the local shops that buy from us. It gets a bit crowded in our small unit when the monthly records are being done. We don't have fancy furniture, just some desks and a lot of filing cabinets. Sometimes the sea breeze makes it through the window, which is nice in the summer. We are just a local group trying to make sure people get fresh dairy every morning. It's a lot of coordination and making sure the temperature is right. It's simple but it’s important. We stay busy enough to stay out of trouble.
