Arokya Milk Center

Arokya Milk Center is our little shop on N Mada St, right in the Ma Ve Na Nagar part of Tiruvottiyur. We are pretty close to the Golden Fancy Store, which helps people find us. We open up really early in the morning, usually before the sun is even up, because that’s when the milk delivery arrives. It’s a bit of a rush to get everything sorted before the first customers show up on their way to work. We have the usual fridge setup and some crates stacked along the wall. It’s not a large place, just enough room for a counter and the coolers. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to worry about the temperature, which is a real headache. We know most of the people who come in by their first names. They stop for a quick chat while they get their packets for tea or coffee. It’s a simple routine. In the evenings, it gets busy again when people are heading home. The shop can get a bit cramped when there are more than three people inside. We just try to keep things moving fast. We’ve been at 57/7M for a few years now. It’s a noisy street with all the scooters going by, but we like the energy. We aren't a big supermarket, just a local spot for fresh milk. It keeps us busy from dawn till dusk.
