Down here in Thanjore district, specifically in the little area of Valambakudi, we’ve got our setup on North Street. It’s a different pace of life than what you find in the big cities. Maniyeripatty is our post office stop, and most people around here know each other by name. Our building is a simple structure on a street that gets a lot of sun. We spend a lot of time dealing with the usual stuff that comes with running a place in rural Tamilnadu. Some days it’s about fixing things that broke, and other days it’s just waiting for the mail to come through. We don't have any big signs or bright lights to get attention. The neighbors walk past on their way to work, and we usually exchange a nod or a few words about the weather or the crops. It’s a very grounded way to live and work. The North Street location has been our base for quite some time, and we’ve seen the seasons change many times from this front door. You won't find any complicated systems or high-tech gadgets here. It’s just us doing what needs to be done to keep things moving along. The air is a bit cleaner out here, even if the work can be tiring when the humidity hits in the summer. We just keep at it, day in and day out, without making a big fuss or acting like we are something we are not.
