Aasai Ice Cream

Aasai Ice Cream is found at No 19 on Thambu Naicker Street. It’s a small shop in a part of town that has a lot of foot traffic. We’ve been here for a while, and the place has become a bit of a local fixture. We don't have a big team or anything like that. Usually, it is just one or two of us working. The shop is quite basic. We have our freezers lined up and we keep them as full as we can. Thambu Naicker Street is narrow, so it can get crowded when people stop to buy something. We don't mind the crowd, though. It keeps us busy. We don't have a fancy website or do any big marketing. Most people find us because they live nearby or they’ve been told about us by a friend. The work is mostly about keeping the ice cream cold and being friendly to whoever walks in. Sometimes we have issues with the equipment, but we fix it and keep going. It’s an honest way to make a living. We see the same people every week, and it’s nice to know our neighbors. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We just provide a simple service to the people around here and hope they keep coming back. It can be tiring during the summer months when the heat never seems to end, but we just keep at it.
