Working at I. M. S. Fabrics Pvt. Ltd. means dealing with the constant buzz of Gandhi Nagar. We are located at X-3041, which is near Lane No. 4 on the Main Road in Raghubarpura No. 2. If you know the area, you know how crowded it gets with rickshaws and people carrying huge bundles of cloth on their heads. Our shop is right in the middle of all that action. There is never a quiet moment from the time we roll up the shutters in the morning. We spend a lot of time just moving piles of fabric so we can reach the ones at the back. It is a bit of a maze inside sometimes. The main road is always noisy with horns, but it makes it easy for the couriers to find us, which is good. We do a lot of our business right there on the counter, talking to people who have been coming to us for years. It is not a place for sitting around; you are always on your feet or climbing a ladder. The light inside isn't the best, so we often take pieces out to the door to see the colors properly in the sunlight. It is a tough way to make a living, but it is what we know. We just take it one day at a time in this busy market. Sometimes we stay open a bit late just to finish the sorting.
