Ashok Embroidery Works

You can find Ashok Embroidery Works over at No. 4214 Jogiwara in Chandni Chowk. It is a small place but we manage to get a lot of work done in there. Embroidery takes a lot of patience and we have been at it for a while now. The room is usually full of the sound of machines and people talking over them. We don’t have any polished floors or bright lights like the big stores do. It’s just a workshop where we focus on the patterns and the thread. Jogiwara is one of those old spots where everyone knows each other. We get people coming in with all sorts of requests for their clothes or fabric. Sometimes the work is very detailed and takes us days to finish. We don't mind that, as long as it looks right in the end. It can get a bit dusty and cramped with all the thread spools laying around, but that is just the way it is. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a big office. We just want to do the embroidery and get it back to the people who need it. Most of the time, we are just sitting at our desks or checking the latest batches. It’s a steady kind of life. We don't use big words to describe what we do. It’s just stitching and making things look a bit better than they started.
