If you go down Gali No. 1 in Raghubarpura No. 2, you’ll find us at No. X /3431. Shanti Mohalla is a busy part of Gandhi Nagar, and Aasma Tex Fab fits right in with the rest of the shops and workshops. It’s a bit of a maze back here, and if you aren't careful, you might walk right past us. We keep things pretty simple. There are a few of us here every day, cutting fabric and keeping track of what’s going out. It’s not the kind of place with air conditioning or fancy chairs. We usually have the fans going full blast and a radio playing somewhere in the back. The neighborhood is full of people doing the same kind of work, so there’s always someone to grab a tea with or talk about the price of materials. We don't spend money on advertising or websites because word of mouth usually does the trick. People know where we are and they know what we do. Some days the power goes out, and we just sit outside until it comes back on. It’s just the way things go around here. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. We just handle the fabric, pack the bags, and make sure the place is locked up tight at night. It's honest work and it keeps us busy enough to stay out of trouble.
