Fancy Silk Expression

If you ever find yourself in Chandni Chowk, you know how hectic it gets. Our place, Fancy Silk Expression, is tucked away in Shyam Market on Nai Sarak. The address is 5493/9, but even with the number, it can be a bit of a maze if you aren't familiar with the turns. We deal mostly in silks, as the name says. The shop is filled with different colors and textures, all piled up in stacks that sometimes reach the ceiling. It’s a tight space, but we make it work. Most of our morning is spent dusting off the shelves and organizing what came in the day before. The tea seller passes by every hour, which is usually the highlight of the afternoon when things get slow. Nai Sarak is known for books and clothes, so there's always a mix of students and shoppers outside our door. We don't really do any fancy advertising. Word of mouth usually brings people to this part of the market. We just sit here, show the silk to whoever walks in, and try to keep the shop running smoothly. It gets very hot in the summer months, but that's just part of being in an old building in Delhi. We’ve been here through many seasons, watching the market change while we just keep selling our silk rolls to whoever needs them.
