Somi Dhaba

Somi Dhaba is located right by Mahan Singh Gate in Amritsar. This part of the city is always full of people and noise, and we have been right in the middle of it for quite some time. The gate is a big landmark, so people usually find us without too much trouble. It is just a regular dhaba, the kind where you sit down and get your food pretty quick. We do not have a lot of staff, so it is usually just a couple of us running around. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the tables are just the standard kind you see everywhere. We focus on getting the cooking right rather than how the place looks. Amritsar 143001 is a busy area, and we get all sorts of people walking through the door, from locals to people visiting the city for the first time. We keep the kitchen open and the pots bubbling throughout the day. It can get pretty hectic during the lunch rush, and sometimes you might have to wait a minute for a seat. We don't use any fancy machines or anything, just our hands and the stove. It is a simple life here, just making food and making sure the bill is right. We like being near the gate because there is always something happening outside. It is just our little corner of the street where we do our thing every day.
